Guide

How it works

Seven short steps take you from an empty pitch to a finished, shareable board. Most coaches are up and running in under a minute.

STEP 01

Set up your teams

Open Teams from the top bar to name both sides, choose kit colours and pick a formation. Starters jump straight into position.

  • Primary, secondary and number colours for each kit.
  • The Squad tab lets you edit every name and number and move players between the starting XI and the bench.
STEP 02

Move players & the ball

With the Move tool selected, drag any player, coach or the ball. It works the same with a mouse, a trackpad or your finger.

  • Double-click (or double-tap) a player to edit their details.
  • Use Rotate in the tool rail to switch between landscape and portrait pitches.
STEP 03

Draw your ideas

Pick a tool and a colour from the tool rail, then drag on the pitch. Tap a drawing with the Move tool to select, recolour or delete it.

  • P Pen for freehand runs
  • A Arrow for passes and movement
  • B Box and O Oval for zones
  • E Eraser: tap or swipe over drawings to remove them
STEP 04

Build a pass network

Choose the Link tool L, tap the passer and then the receiver. A dashed arrow joins them and follows both players wherever you move them.

  • Links take the currently selected colour.
  • Great for showing build-up patterns and third-man runs.
STEP 05

Record match events

Use the + Goal buttons beside the score to add a scorer, an assist and the minute. In the player window you can add yellow and red cards and make substitutions.

  • Cards appear above the player's shirt.
  • Substitutes take over the same spot, with the minute shown on the badge.
STEP 06

Report & export

Open Report for line-ups, a minute-by-minute timeline and your own notes, ready to print. Use Export to download the pitch as PNG, JPEG or PDF.

  • Exports are rendered at high resolution for crisp sharing.
  • Reports print cleanly on A4 or Letter.
STEP 07

Save & undo

Your current board auto-saves in the browser. Use Save for three named slots, which you can load or delete at any time.

  • Ctrl + Z undo, Ctrl + Shift + Z redo (⌘ on Mac).
  • Delete removes the selected drawing or link, Esc clears the selection.
